LETTER FROM US.
Alexander and Gabriela founded The Willing Room based on their beliefs and personal testimony from their walk with Jesus Christ. As teenagers, they connected with God by attending church, serving in ministry, and seeking Him on their own. Despite the challenges, they saw the fruit and impact of Jesus' presence throughout their journey. The name “The Willing Room” reflects the power of seeking God in a personal, secret space. With willing hearts and minds, God can do anything. The Willing Room is more than just a dance space; it aims to inspire the next generation to seek Jesus, fall in love with Him, and willingly say YES to making a difference in their lives and those they love. What is God asking of your willing heart?
Alexander and Gabriela married in 2020 and have a daughter named Mila Alaila. Alexander holds a B.S. in Developmental Psychology and has professional experience working with toddlers, children, and adolescents through coaching, mentoring, and teaching. Gabriela has a B.A. in Political Science, with minors in International Relations and Communications, a Master’s in Public Administration with a minor in Non-profit and Faith-Based Leadership, and an Ed.S. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Advanced Educational Leadership. Her dissertation will qualitatively explore parents’ experiences of spiritually nurturing their children through household devotionals. Both have held leadership roles in after-school and summer programs, collaborating with community partners and teaching in Springfield and Holyoke school districts. Alexander and Gabriela serve as pastors at Crossover Church in Springfield, where they have led the Creative Arts ministry since 2018. Above all, they lead with their testimony, focusing on supporting the next generation. They love working with children and believe in nurturing the whole child—spirit, mind, and body—and promoting social-emotional development and spiritual growth through biblical foundations.
The heart of The Willing Room is expressed through its slogan: “Our Hands, His Work.” This phrase captures what the space stands for—a place where creativity and worship unite for God’s glory. Every dance, lesson, and act of service reflects His presence working through willing hearts. It’s a simple reminder that while we move and create with our hands, the true work is His.
- Much love from The Willing Room.
